Embedded System Development Engineer

Job description

We are looking for an Embedded System Development Engineer with strong knowledge of circuit design practices, whose primary responsibility will be to develop, document and oversee all hardware aspects of a product during the development cycle. Designs include digital and analog circuit design/layout and firmware integration. 

The more experience you have, the better, but the main elements we are looking for is willingness to learn, desire to create and a "work hard, play hard" mentality.

Job requirements


  • Perform schematic design, manage board layout, and validation.
  • Write software and firmware to characterize and test hardware.
  • Write test plans to validate hardware product performance in accordance to product requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and members from across the organization.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with product development processes for product design and validation.
  • Experience with Embedded Systems architecture and electrical engineering system integration.
  • Experience with lab equipment, including oscilloscope and protocol analyzers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Schematic and board design experience (Autodesk Eagle preferred).
  • Experience designing embedded hardware with MCUs, Embedded Computers, and High-Speed Interfaces.
  • Experience with EMI/EMC mitigation.
  • Proficiency in C.
  • Scripting and automation experience with Python or similar.
